Few wine regions on earth can match the climates, soils and vertigo-inducing views of the Santa Cruz Mountains appellation. Situated at 2000 feet above sea level our estate offers a rare confluence of great vineyard sites and sweeping panoramas of the San Francisco Bay area. Founded in 1981 by Dr. Thomas Fogarty, a Stanford cardiovascular surgeon and world-renowned inventor, we produce single-vineyard Pinot Noirs, Chardonnays, Merlots and Cabernets that capture the unique character of the Santa Cruz Mountains.

Thomas Fogarty 2005 Santa Cruz Mountains Estate Chardonnay
Clean, intense and vibrant, with a tight, sleek band of citrus, lemon, green apple flavors, picking a nice touch of spice and light cedary oak on the finish. Drink now through 2011. — J.L.

Gold Medal Winner: 2005 Santa Cruz Mountains Estate Chardonnay
“A nearly perfect wine in a challenging site, completely un-Californian in style.
Here in the state is a wine worthy of comparison to Montrachet.”
